Key Account and Project Manager Europe and/or North America


Role Summary:

You will be responsible to acquire and manage projects in the field of Microfluidic, Lab-on-a-chip and micro plastic parts in the European- and/or North American market and sell the z-microsystems` services to customers and clients in the respective areas.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • acquire both, direct and indirect customers (Biotech / Life
    Science start-up´s, academics, OEM´s and Global Players)and establish partnership in terms of developing new systems in the field of Lab-on-a-chip, e.g.in the fast growing Point-of-care and In-Vitro-Diagnostics market
  • generate new leads, win new customers and projects and
    foster the network in the EU- and/or North American market
  • motivate, encourage and support the global sales team (agents, partners, etc.)
  • you will be heavily involved in sales negotiation and deal closure. The successful candidate needs to build relationship with all key-buying influencers and decision makers
  • you will be strongly involved in the technical discussions prior to project start, so to succeed, you will need to work together closely with our engineering team
  • naturally you will use and foster our internal CRM system for visit reports and opportunity funnel handling. You will also need to regularly analyze and forecast your sales territory.
  • organize, manage and attend the different congresses as well as exhibitions worldwide
  • setting-up the annual marketing strategy & budget for the respective sales area and execute the agreed marketing strategy
  • monitor the marketing and sales budget

Qualification / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from the field of Life-Science or equivalent knowledge or experience in construction, design and engineering of plastic-injection-moulds and –parts (systems)
  • preferably high knowledge in the field of plastics, plastics injection moulding and/or injection mould tool making
  • significant consultative sales experience including strategic selling and negotiation
  • willingness to travel within your specified geographic region with occasional overnight stays
  • valid driving licenses, German language knowledge preferred and excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English
  • robust interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently as well as matrix organization
